UP – Practitioner Track

The practitioner track “Usability Professionals”(UP) is organized by the professional association of German Usability and User Experience Professionals – German UPA e.V.. The track offers you as a UX practitioner the opportunity to discuss current topics based on your project experience. We are also looking forward to exciting insights in the field of Usability & UX and would like to offer space for discussion, joint knowledge gain and networking.

Presentation

  • Here you can present your exciting work results, new interaction techniques, new usability/UX methods or company-specific processes as well as controversial topics for discussion.
  • Presentation at the conference (25 min. + 5 min. for discussion)

Workshop

  • Here you can develop and discuss a topic together with other participants.

Tutorial

  • Here you can share your theoretical and practical knowledge and experience with other participants.
  • Tutorial at the conference as a session (90 min.), or as a half-day tutorial (180 min. + coffee break)

Working Group Session

The German UPA has several topic-related working groups (https://germanupa.de/arbeitskreise) that drive forward the content-related work of the professional association. The working groups present their work in workshops. All conference participants are invited to participate in the discussion and the development of new findings. If working groups are planning an internal workshop, we will indicate this in the program.

Information for working groups

  • A time slot of 90 minutes is reserved in the program for each working group.
  • One session can be registered per working group & there will be no review.
  • You can hold public or internal sessions.

There will be a barcamp as part of Mensch und Computer. You can find out what this is and how the Barcamp will take place here. 

Participation / Conference fee for speakers

Please note: The Mensch und Computer Conference is not an industry conference and therefore not profit-oriented. This means that the conference fees for all participants can be kept low compared to other conferences. For authors of conference contributions accepted for presentation, the same conference fees apply as for all other participants!
